The University of Central Oklahoma International House was opened in 2012 and was envisioned by Dr. Dennis Dunham. The first International House started out as an intercultural activity venue in a former fraternity house. After ten successful years, the UCO International House was relocated into UCO’s Transformative Learning Quadrangle dorm in January of 2022. This gave the International House an opportunity to expand its programs and form an intercultural living-learning community. The new International House has the capacity to house 429 residents with space for offices, a language school, intercultural programming, and dining.

The mission of the University of Central Oklahoma’s International House is to facilitate global engagement and intercultural proficiencies by bringing together Central’s students, staff, faculty, and the local community to catalyze transformative learning. The International House serves as a living-learning community that offers unique intercultural experiences for residents and cultural programs and events that are open to the entire UCO campus and Central Oklahoma Community.
